Caregiver Course | Roodepoort | Starts on 30 October (9 x Saturdays)
Are you interested in a career as a Caregiver? Knowing that you are making a difference to someone’s life is the reward for being a good Caregiver. Our course is a very comprehensive course and you will be taught how to look after these types of patients and individuals needing care; babies, the elderly; alzheimer/dimentia patients, the terminally ill, paralysed patients, stroke patients and so much more. The course runs once a week (a full day), for 9x consecutive weeks. Each participant receives a full scrubs uniform with their name embroidered on the scrubs top. Payment in instalments may be arranged upon enquiry and confirmation of booking.
COURSE CONTENT
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] CPR and First Aid: The CPR and First Aid module is certified and endorsed by the Resuscitation Council of South Africa and the American Heart Association.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Babies: From general care to sleep and milestones and stimulation.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Elderly: Frail care from bathing to signs and symptoms of various illnesses such as high blood pressure; dehydration; diabetic care; food hygiene; medications; companionship etc.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Post-Surgical: Patients discharged from hospital- mobilisation; wound care; signs and symptoms of infection etc.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Terminal patients: Providing a safe caring environment; respectful attentiveness for patient and family in a comfortable and pain free environment.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Paralysed patients: (Quadriplegics and Paraplegics); Pressure part care; bathing; feeding; stimulation and passive exercise; transport of patients in wheelchairs and with assisted equipment.

CERTIFICATION
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Certified and endorsed by the Resuscitation Council of South Africa and the American Heart Association.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Each participant will receive a Survival CPR manual per module containing all the course information and a Survival CPR carer course certificate upon completion of all 9 modules and 168 practical hours.
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark” wrap=”I”] Each participant must attend all 9 modules to be certified, as well as complete 168 practical hours in a frail care facility. This will be arranged by Survival CPR. We do not offer job placement though.
