Terms and Conditions for training and courses
The following constitute the terms and conditions to which applicants agree when booking any Survival CPR & first aid services (Pty) Ltd (SCPR) course. SCPR reserves the right to review and update these periodically.
- Registration with SCPR
When booking onto a course we require you to provide us with certain information about yourself. In doing this, you agree to:

- Booking a course
2.1 Courses can be booked via the booking forms available on the SCPR website: https://survivalcpr.co.za/bookings/.
2.2 When you submit a booking for an online course, your submission represents an offer to SCPR to book you onto the course you selected.
2.3 SCPR will accept your offer by entering your booking onto the SCPR system and sending you an email, once payment has been made, confirming that you have been booked and providing you with full course details.
- Prices, discounts and sales VAT
3.1 Notice of new pricing will be given in advance, but SCPR reserves the right to change prices listed without notice. Once a booking has been paid for the price will not be changed.
3.2 The course fees include: tuition on the day(s), all relevant course materials and refreshments.
- Payment
4.1 Fees must be paid at the point of booking via PayFast’s secure online payment process. If you have an applicable discount code this must be entered at the time of booking, as the discount cannot be applied retrospectively.
4.2 All major credit and debit cards are accepted. A receipt will be sent to you by email from PayFast confirming payment. PayFast will receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment and process your order and is under strict legal and contractual obligations not to disclose this information to third parties. Please note that if you do not provide accurate details (including type of card and number) or if your credit card company does not authorise payment, your application will be deemed void. SCPR will not accept any liability for costs incurred as a result of applications deemed void in this manner.
4.3 VAT is not charged as SCPR is not a registered VAT vendor.
4.4 We cannot invoice for fees, or accept payment, by instalments.
- Prevailing terms and conditions
Please note that all services provided by SCPR are on the basis of these Terms and Conditions and if you wish to engage any SCPR services we shall only provide them if you accept these Terms and Conditions.
- Survival CPR courses
Whilst we make every effort to keep changes to the site to a minimum, we reserve the right to make any amendments to the terms and conditions at any time to reflect changes affecting our business, including, but not limited to; changes in technology, payment methods and legal and regulatory requirements. By continuing to use this site you agree to accept any changes made to the terms and conditions.
- Ownership and intellectual property rights
All Survival CPR materials, whether on the website or at a SCPR course day, are owned by SCPR. All intellectual property rights in all materials available from SCPR, including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials are owned by SCPR. No SCPR content may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without SCPR’s prior permission. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of SCPR’s intellectual property rights.
- Special requirements at SCPR course
SCPR will make every effort to accommodate special requirements that have been notified to us in advance.
- Health and safety at the SCPR course
You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations and any other reasonable security requirements that apply at the premises at which the training courses are provided.
10. Behaviour
SCPR reserves the right to remove any delegate from a training course whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate by SCPR or its trainers. In these circumstances, SCPR will neither refund any fees nor reimburse any other costs.
- Trainers
SCPR shall provide such trainers to present the training course as it, in its sole discretion, deems fit. SCPR shall be entitled at any time to substitute any trainer with any other person who, in SCPR’s sole discretion, it deems suitably qualified to present the relevant course.
- Liability
SCPR does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information in, or views expressed on, its training courses including course materials. Opinions expressed are those of individual trainers and not necessarily those of SCPR. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.
- Joining Instructions
On receipt of payment you will be sent an automated email confirming course details. SCPR will not be held responsible for non-receipt of email instructions and refunds will not be issued under such circumstances.
- Cancellation
14.1 Cancellation of a course
If you cancel a course booking, no refunds will be made, however you will be given the opportunity to transfer your booking to an alternative venue / date.
14.2 Substituting your course place
If you need to substitute your place on a training course, you must notify SCPR via email within 48 hours of the course date.
14.3 Transferring your place
If you can no longer attend the training course you are entitled to transfer your booking onto the next training course provided that course has availability. The transfer option only applies to delegates who are transferring to a different date for the same course and the date must be specified at the time of the transfer. The transfer is free of charge if you notify SCPR via email more than 1 week before the course date.
Please note once you have transferred your booking you will not be entitled to a refund and you cannot transfer your place more than once.
14.4 Changes and/or Cancellation by SCPR
Where circumstances dictate, SCPR reserves the right to alter published programs, trainers, fees, dates or venues without prior notice. In extreme circumstances, SCPR may be forced to cancel a course. In that case a refund of the course fee will be made but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred (for example travel, accommodation etc.).
14.5 Non-attendance
If you fail to attend the course you are booked onto without giving prior notice to SCPR, we will be unable to refund the course fees or offer a transfer.
